A French non-profit association (loi 1901)
Through this work, Les Nouveaux Sapiens aim to contribute to individual well-being, to quality of life at work, to school guidance support and, more generally, to better living together.
The founders of the association are Lydie Castells, France Tuncq and Yves du Plessis.
The current board members are Lydie Castells — President —, Yves du Plessis — Treasurer —, Marion Fourrier — Secretary.
Purpose of the association
1. Carry out numerological research, according to conventional rules, on cohorts of people showing targeted behaviour types, in order to identify them better and provide analysis and understanding that make it easier for individuals to fit into their social and/or professional environments.
2. Carry out any communication and interpersonal exchange activity that helps to better respect differences and move towards better living together.
3. Offer personality-type discovery workshops for adults, teenagers, parents, families, educators, companies, support professionals, human resources specialists and volunteers, providing keys to how people work and support for school and career guidance.
4. Deliver training courses and workshops for volunteers and professionals working in support, guidance, management and education, to enrich their tools for understanding people.
5. Organise conferences, workshops, communications (social networks, press) and information content (videos, publications, articles) resulting from the research and development of the practices described above. Maintain a presence at trade fairs, conferences, public events and on social networks, and share the results obtained through the association's work.
The association intends to pursue these objectives in accordance with established legal rules, in liaison with local, national and international institutions and associations working towards the same goal.
Research projects
The studies will be supervised by a qualified clinical psychologist and a medical doctor. Statistical analyses will be carried out by a PhD student in statistics.
Support for identification: some people show behavioural disorders such as ADHD or specific learning disorders, or exceptional abilities (high intellectual or emotional potential), often identified only after many years of incomprehension and distress. The aim of the research is to anonymously collect numerological data from people already diagnosed through recognised clinical tests, and to analyse whether a statistically distinctive « numerological profile » emerges for each behavioural disorder.
A test period applied to a sample of people, to establish the relevance of numerological study (personality, timing): investigation, definition and testing of concrete tools and means of improvement and support for the people concerned and those who support them.
A means of investigation to improve the management of certain disorders: for example, some people live with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The aim of the research is to anonymously collect numerological data from people diagnosed with ASD through recognised clinical tests and to analyse whether statistically significant common features emerge for this population. If so, we will be able to offer carers — under the supervision of a medical body or specialist practitioners — possible courses of action to reduce the impact of this disability.
Demonstrate the relevance of numerology to the expression of each individual's fundamental needs: carry out analyses on a representative population sample regarding the different personality types identified by Strategic Numerology®, and establish each individual's fundamental needs according to this method.
Support projects
School guidance support: more and more young people feel lost about their school and career choices, a situation that has worsened since Covid. The aim is to offer 16- to 20-year-olds, accompanied by one of their parents, a workshop that makes them aware of their potential through the description of their personal numerological tree.
Support for reintegration into society: some social or specialist centres (including French closed educational centres) are looking for cross-cutting solutions to help young people on the margins of society reintegrate. Usual tools sometimes fail to deliver the expected results. Workshops using Strategic Numerology® can help them discover their potential, gifts and talents, and thus take their place in society.
The people running the workshops are practitioners recognised and certified by ICERNS.
Make a donation
Why? Donations fund the travel expenses of volunteers collecting information for the research; the fees and services of the various contributors required to implement and complete the research (statisticians, clinical psychologists, IT specialists, data collection, secure network servers); and the services of professional numerologists during school guidance workshops and workshops for young people cut off from society.
The benefits: Les Nouveaux Sapiens is registered as being of public interest. It can issue a tax receipt so that donors benefit from a tax reduction.
Individuals (private persons or businesses subject to income tax): the tax reduction is 66 % of the amount, up to 20 % of taxable income. The tax receipt is sent automatically as soon as the donation payment is confirmed on HelloAsso. Example: a donation of €50 gives a €33 tax reduction, so the actual cost of the donation is €17.
Legal entities (companies subject to corporation tax): this is known as corporate sponsorship. The tax credit is 60 % (up to €2 million). The CERFA donation certificate must be requested from us. Example: a company donates €100 and receives a €60 tax credit, so the actual cost of the donation is €40.
Becoming a member
Four options are available:
1. Active members: individuals or legal entities who are members of the association, hold the Certificate in Strategic Numerology, are committed to school and career guidance and to helping people understand personality types, and take part in the running of the association on a voluntary basis.
2. Non-active members: same conditions, but without taking part in the running of the association.
3. Supporting members: individuals who are not members of the association but share its values and the wish to contribute to its activities.
4. Honorary members for services rendered: any person proposed must be approved by the Board at a General Meeting.
Admission conditions: anyone wishing to join the association undertakes to accept and comply with its internal rules and with the code of ethics of Les Nouveaux Sapiens. Membership takes effect on the date the fee is paid and gives the right to vote at meetings from that date.

Definitions
ADHD: attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is a common neurodevelopmental disorder (around 5 to 8 % of children and 4 % of adults) characterised by a persistent difficulty in modulating attention — careless mistakes, difficulty sustaining attention, resisting distractions, organising, starting and finishing a task, forgetfulness and a tendency to mislay or lose things. Diagnosis can be complex because certain medical, neurodevelopmental and psychosocial issues can mimic its symptoms as well as being associated with it. Specific learning disorders (« dys »): written-language disorders (dyslexia, dysorthographia and dysgraphia) show up as confusion and reversal of sounds and letters, spelling mistakes, and sometimes slow, illegible handwriting. High intellectual potential: gifted, « zebras »… there are many names for children and adults with high intellectual abilities outside the norm. High intellectual potential is neither a disorder nor an illness: it is a specific way of functioning, with abilities that are more developed than average and heightened reflection. High emotional potential: with neuro-atypical functioning, people with high potential have greater-than-average abilities and uncommon skills. With the emergence of IQ measurement tools, giftedness generally refers only to high intellectual potential; yet another field of ability exists — emotions — which defines people with high emotional potential. ASD: autism is referred to as autism spectrum disorder. This terminology reflects the diversity of forms autism can take. Symptoms are numerous and vary in intensity, which means each autistic person sits differently on the spectrum.
